Hello! I’m Marieke (mah-ree-kah), a professional wedding photographer based in beautiful Perthshire, Scotland. With over 20 years’ experience as a press photographer, I’ve worked for magazines and newspapers across the UK and internationally. That background has shaped the way I photograph weddings today: unobtrusive, instinctive and focused on real life as it unfolds.

Wedding days are full of wonderful moments: nervous excitement before the ceremony, laughter during speeches, children and pets running around having fun, and those quiet, emotional exchanges that often go unnoticed. Perthshire

I’m based in Perthshire and regularly photograph weddings across the area, including rural venues, family farms, barns, estates and outdoor celebrations. I also travel throughout Scotland and beyond, from intimate elopements to full-day celebrations in the Highlands, Islands and also cities. I particularly love weddings that embrace the outdoors: I am always happy bringing my walking boots!
